A satin wrap dress always feels a little bit special, and this rich purple shade is a lovely change from holiday black. The wrap silhouette ties to adjust the fit, and the satin's soft sheen catches the light at Christmas parties, winter weddings, anniversary dinners and New Year's Eve. It's the kind of dress you'll be glad to have ready when an invitation arrives.

What you'll love

Style it

For a holiday party, add sheer black tights, heeled booties and sparkly drop earrings. Layer a long cardigan or a cozy knit duster on top for church or a family dinner, and finish with a small chain-strap bag. Gold and silver jewelry both look beautiful against the purple satin.

How to Measure

For the best fit, measure your body (not your clothing) using a soft measuring tape:

• Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
• Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso.
• Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, about 7–9 inches below your natural waist.
• Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg (for jeans).
